It's not often an 18-year-old artist comes with such mature vocal deliveries and a refreshing sound, but this Louisville-native does just that. 'Fading' is the first song I've heard from Zayuh and it's safe to say I was instantly hooked.
I can hear the hyper pop, alternative hip-hop influence in Zayuh's style in the way he layers his melodies in such an energetic way over the bouncy production. This arrangement carries such a certain infectious feel to it, making you want to play it over and over again.
At the end of the day, what's most impressive about this artist and his music is the fact that he's putting his own style on it. While the genre influence is there, I can hear him for who he is as a musician. It's definitely a fresh twist on a growing sound, and I believe Zayuh has the potential to really set himself apart from the rest. Give this one a spin and add it to your winter playlist if you haven't yet.
