My favorite two artists as a kid were Garth Brooks and All-American Rejects. Not kidding. Why is that relevant you may ask? Because the first time I heard this Quarters of Change song, I felt the way I felt as a kid listening to my country/alternative/anthem rock genres. 'Blue Copper' hit right at home with its blend of styles that seem to run together with no effort at all.
This band of four quickly became a favorite of mine this year. I'm in love with their intimate style of songwriting that seems to be of relation to me with each listen. It's lyrics that tell a story in such poetic fashion.
I find myself singing at the top of my lungs every time this song specifically is played, and it's probably due to the sheer infectiousness of the chorus. I can't wait for the day they play in stadiums to fully do this music justice.
