At the end of July, the band Ivers released their EP "Best Behavior" and it included a phenomenal track titled "Lexus" The track is incredibly serene and peaceful, kind of feels like you're dancing on a cloud while listening to it. Ivers definitely knew what they were doing with this one.
The instrumentation is nothing short of elegant, and the vocal just has a soft, feel good, warm presence. The lyricsm is vulnerable and tells a story the truly evokes emotion from the listener. If you close your eyes for a second while listening to this one, and let the music take you, you'll really be able to see and feel what the lyrics are singing. If I was the type of person that cried, I'd cry to this. (I cried 3 times listening to it already.)
I'm definitely new to Ivers, but I can say that this is easily one of the smoothest tracks I've heard all year. They have an obvious knack for making all the moving pieves of a band come together on the canvas to make one beautiful painting. Their EP is a fantastic listen and this song is just one of many highlights of the project. Do yourself a favor and give Ivers a listen, it will change your day for the better.
