Krooked Kings is the indie rock, alternative blend of goodness that's demanding some warm weather, windows-down environments to listen to it in. Their latest, 'Sick of Being Young,' is no exception, and offers an added sense of youth and nostalgia to the melodramatic sound.
The songwriting on this record is really what stood out to me after the first listen. I can feel the emotion from the band in the way this story of the pressures of needing to grow up. Lyrics like "I'm stuck in my ways, I'm biding my time, is that such a crime?" ring so true for me personally. I'm also at a stage where I feel like I'm at a crossroads between being a kid and needing to act like an adult. At the end of the day, it's songs like these that remind me I'm not the only one feeling things.
