The magic began in Athens, GA when musicians Jade Long and Jessica Thompson originally met. A discography of genre-bending, movie-worthy soundtracks later, the duo that is Hotel Fiction has all the ingredients to be 2023's breakout act.
Ella Jane has been known to cause spontaneous dance sessions in the kitchen and overconfident shower performances since I discovered her music last year, but this new one sets a whole different standard of fun. 'Warhol' is packed with shout-worthy lyrics that tell a story of doing everything you can for someone to notice you. While it's not a scenario we'd like to find ourselves in, it just so happens we've all been there once or twice.
Aside from Ella's incredible penmanship, the melodies on this one are stickier than super glue. With a clean guitar progression carried throughout and dreamy production to fill the gaps, it creates a perfect space for those melodies to cut through straight to your heart strings.
