If you've heard any of my work, chances are you've heard Cara Mackenzie's work as well. From producing and/or mixing over half of the songs I put out in the last year, this Minnesota-based, multi-instrumentalist, songwriting genius blessed us with her first solo project in 2022, and it absolutely shreds.
While Cara shines in just about any genre, this smooth, yet grungy rock masterpiece is a sheer punch of emotion and head-banging energy. It would be hard to find a chorus more catchy than this one, as fast-paced guitars run through the gaps of Cara's electric vocal performance. Those melodies grab you, pull you in, and keep you there until the song is over. And then they make you play it again.
I found myself on multiple occasions in the car shouting the lyrics to this song. Whether you're a fan of metal core, alternative rock, or just any good music in general, I have a feeling this song will be stuck in your head for days once you hear it.
