ArmstrongWW Doesn't 'Usually' Impress, He always Does.

If you were like me a few days ago and hadn't heard of ArmstrongWW yet, you'll soon understand just how much you've been missing out on. The Cameroon-born and Houston-based artist is a surefire talent that blends alternative hip-hop with jazz and RnB influences, painting his songs with impressive flows and vocal delivery.

For myself, 'Usually' has been one of those songs you love after the first listen for its upbeat energy and infectious melodies. Subsequently, after a few more in-depth listens, you fall in love with it again due to ArmstrongWW's lyricism and wordplay. It's a double-whammy of catchiness and introspectiveness that will pull you in over and over.

Taking a dive into the Texas artist's catalog, you'll find ArmstrongWW has a way of telling stories in such versatile ways. Songs like 'Call You?' and 'habits' feature raw moments over boom-bap style production, while 'Recovery' puts focus on the unique flow and bouncy instrumentation. Meanwhile, the stories being told remain at the forefront. There's something interesting to be found in each track this dude releases, and I believe that's a testament to his potential going forward.

'Usually' serves as the first single from ArmstrongWW's upcoming EP, 'Thinking In Color, and if this song is any indicator of how the project will sound, I'm over the moon excited. Check it out below and let us know what you think.
